What is the removals survey form template?
Moving quotes go wrong when the survey misses something — a piano in the garage, a third-floor flat with no lift, a truck that has to park down the street. This form captures the details that change the price, whether a surveyor visits, does a video call, or the customer fills it in.
It records the move type and date, access and parking at the current address, a room-by-room fullness grid, large and specialist items, and the new address if it's known. 1 Contact & move
The customer's name, email and phone, the type of move (home, office, or storage only), the preferred date and how flexible it is are required, along with how the survey is being done.
2 Moving from
The current address and property type are required; bedrooms are asked for home moves. The floor, whether there's a lift or stairs, and where the truck can park are recorded. Parking some distance away requires the carry distance, and street parking asks whether a permit or suspension may be needed. Access notes cover stairs, doorways and building rules.
3 Rooms & items
A required grid rates thirteen rooms — from living room and kitchen to bedrooms, garage, loft, shed and basement — as empty, light, average or heavy. Large or awkward items are listed one per line, and specialist items such as a piano, safe, artwork, pool table, gym equipment or hot tub are ticked. The estimated number of boxes, items not coming, and room photos or the customer's inventory can be added.
4 Moving to & services
If the new address is known, it's required, with property type, floor, access and parking; if not, the town or area is asked instead. The customer ticks the services to quote — packing, dismantling, unpacking, storage, disposal, appliance disconnection — with storage duration if needed. Goods-in-transit cover is required, and enhanced cover asks for the contents' approximate value. The customer confirms that the quote is based on the survey.
