How does FileIt know the expiry date?
When you upload a document, FileIt reads it with AI to detect the type, owner, document number and expiry date. Everything is pre-filled for you — and you can always edit it.
Is my data private?
Yes. Documents live in encrypted storage isolated to your account, and FileIt never submits anything on your behalf. You can also turn on local-only mode to keep AI out entirely.
Can my family or team use it too?
Yes — two ways. Invite team members to your account with full or view-only access, or share any single folder by email at read, read + upload, or full access. A shared person (an accountant or client, say) doesn't even need a FileIt account — they get a secure sign-in link and see only what you shared.
What are the Apps?
eSignature, Compliance and Forms sit beside your vault. Add them to a Premium plan as monthly add-ons, or get all of them with Enterprise. Send documents for signature, fill official government forms on the agency's own PDF, or build your own forms — every result is filed in your vault.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes — a native app for iPhone and Android. Snap a document with your camera, browse and search your whole vault, manage people and reminders, and open shared folders, all from your phone.
