What is SCO change of address (pensioners abroad)?

People who receive a Swiss pension while living outside Switzerland must tell the Swiss Compensation Office (SCO) straight away about any change of home or payment address, and about changes in their circumstances that could affect the pension. This form from the SCO, part of the Central Compensation Office in Geneva, is for reporting a new home address, correspondence address or e-mail address.

You give your Swiss insurance number, name and date of birth, the previous address (with telephone and e-mail), the new address, and the date the change applies from. For each, you tick whether it is a home, correspondence or e-mail address. The beneficiary or a legal representative signs.

Common mistakes to avoid

Waiting until after the move. Letters, payments and life certificates may go to the old address.
Not ticking which address is new: home, correspondence or e-mail.
Forgetting the country on the new address.
Forgetting the copy of your identity card.
Using this form for a new bank account. Bank details go on SCO form 200.

No. To change where the pension is paid, use SCO form 200, the application for payment into a personal bank or postal account.

Why are there two versions of this form on the SCO website?

The SCO's forms page links two files with the same layout. The newer one (October 2024) gives [email protected] as the e-mail address; FileIt uses that one.
