What is a pressure washing agreement?
Pressure washing complaints are rarely about effort. They're about the oil stain that faded but didn't vanish, water behind loose siding, a shrub that browned, or paint that was already peeling. A pressure washing agreement sets expectations in writing before the hose is connected.
This template covers pressure washing, soft washing or both, for siding, decks, driveways, paths, fences and roofs. It records the surfaces, the method, the cleaning solutions with safety information on request, optional sealing or staining, and whether water comes from the customer's tap or the contractor's tank. The customer prepares the property and points out weak spots; the contractor pre-wets and rinses plants and keeps run-off out of drains. A results-and-limits section explains which stains may be permanent, that cleaning can reveal hidden damage and that mould can come back. It covers weather rescheduling and roof safety, the price, deposit and payment, a walk-round re-clean, an optional repeat service, a 7-day damage reporting window and 24-hour cancellation.

Tips before you send it
- Walk the property with the customer first and photograph loose siding, peeling paint and old stains. The agreement covers existing conditions, but photos settle questions.
- Many places restrict wash water and cleaning solutions going into storm drains. Check local rules and use recovery or diversion where needed.
- Keep the product safety information for your cleaning solutions on the truck. The agreement says you'll provide it on request.
- Offer a sealing add-on for driveways and decks. It helps the result last and is easy to add in the optional field.

Pressure washing agreement: frequently asked questions
Will every stain come out?
No. The agreement explains that soaked-in oil, rust, tyre and fertiliser stains, oxidation and weathering may be permanent or only fade, and that mould and algae can return.
What about plants near the house?
The contractor pre-wets and rinses plants, covers delicate ones where practical and rinses surfaces after cleaning. Some browning of plants close to treated surfaces can still happen.
Who is responsible for damage?
The contractor is responsible for damage it causes through carelessness, such as the wrong pressure on a surface. It isn't responsible for water getting past already-faulty seals or failing paint lifting, but stops and tells the customer if it sees that.
What if it rains on the day?
The contractor can reschedule for rain, high winds, freezing temperatures or very hot sun, and offers the next suitable date.
Can I sign it electronically?
Yes. E-signatures are generally valid for home service agreements in the US, UK, EU and Canada. FileIt keeps an audit trail with the signed PDF.
