What is a gutter services agreement?
Gutter work looks simple from the ground, but the arguments are predictable: rotten fascia found once the old gutters come off, a roof that was never safe to walk on, flowerbeds trampled under the ladder, and gutters that block again a month after a clean. A gutter services agreement settles those points in advance.
This template works for installing new gutters and downpipes, repairing existing ones, a one-off clean or a regular cleaning service. It records the scope, optional materials, size and colour, and the height of the building. The customer agrees to clear the ground below and warn about fragile roofs, solar panels and power lines; the contractor decides the safe access method. Rotten fascia and other hidden problems are shown and approved before they are fixed, with an optional rate for small repairs. It sets the price, deposit and payment timing, weather delays, clean-up and waste, liability for careless damage, an optional workmanship guarantee in months, and, for regular cleaning, a schedule and notice to end.

Tips before you send it
- Photograph rotten fascia and loose roof edges before you touch them. The agreement requires the customer's approval before these repairs.
- Leave the guarantee field empty for cleaning-only work. The agreement already says gutters are not guaranteed to stay clear.
- Some places license or register contractors who work at height or on homes, and limit deposits. Check local rules before you send.
- Run water through the downpipes at the end of each clean and tell the customer the result. It is the check the agreement describes.

Gutter services agreement: frequently asked questions
Does the agreement guarantee the gutters won't block again?
No. It guarantees the contractor's installation and repair work for the months you set, but states plainly that gutters are not guaranteed to stay clear of leaves or to cope with rainfall heavier than their design.
What if the fascia boards behind the gutters are rotten?
The contractor shows the customer or sends photos. Fascia, soffit and roof-edge repairs are not in the price and are done only once the customer approves them, at the optional small-repairs rate if you set one.
Who decides whether to walk on the roof?
The contractor decides the safe access method. If part of the job can't be done safely as planned, it tells the customer and agrees another method or a price change first.
Can I use it for a regular cleaning service?
Yes. Choose regular cleaning, enter the schedule and set the notice period. Either party can end the service on that notice, and advance payments for future visits are refunded.
Can the customer sign electronically?
Yes. E-signatures are generally valid for home service contracts in the US, UK, EU and Canada, though some places add notice rules for contracts signed at home. FileIt keeps an audit trail with the signed PDF.
