What is UDK 315 — Child allowance for student parents?
UDK 315 is Udbetaling Danmark's Danish paper form for child allowance for parents in education (børnetilskud til forældre under uddannelse, officially særligt børnetilskud til uddannelsessøgende forældre). On borger.dk (2026) it is up to DKK 2,288 a quarter. Applying for it also counts as applying for the child allowance for parents in work placement (praktik); Udbetaling Danmark pays whichever gives you more, and only one allowance per child.
borger.dk lists the conditions: a child under 18 who lives with you and is in Denmark; you are in an SU-eligible education, or one that gives the right to join an unemployment fund (a-kasse); as a single parent you don't get the SU single-parent supplement; the child, you or the other parent is a Danish citizen; and income limits apply (DKK 274,620 a year for a single parent, DKK 366,020 or 457,540 combined for a couple, 2026). The full amount needs at least 6 years of residence or work in Denmark in the last 10 years.
FileIt walks you through UDK 315 in English with the Danish terms alongside, pre-fills your name from the People in your FileIt vault, checks CPR numbers and dates, and prints everything — including names with Polish, Romanian or other accented letters the PDF's own fields can't print — into Udbetaling Danmark's own PDF. You print, sign and post it with your documentation.

3 Bopæls- og arbejdsforhold and Oplysninger om barnet
Whether you have lived or worked in Greenland or the Faroe Islands in the last 10 years (documentation if yes) and whether you are a refugee under section 7, 8 or 9b of the Aliens Act. Then the one child you are applying for.
4 Uddannelsesforhold (education)
Place and name of the education, start and end dates, whether it is SU-eligible (and if not, whether it gives the right to join an a-kasse, and which), whether you get an SU final loan, whether you can get the SU single-parent supplement, and whether you start a placement or apprenticeship, with its dates.
5 Indkomstforhold and Arbejdsforhold (income and work)
Monthly gross income for you and your partner: trainee pay, wages, other taxable income, SU or other benefits (tick which), positive net capital income, and share income if over DKK 5,000 a year. Then remarks, and whether and where you work alongside your studies.

Common mistakes to avoid
- Forgetting the documentation for your education and income — and your partner's, if you live together.
- Writing yearly amounts in the income table. It asks for monthly gross income.
- Applying for more than one child on the form. The form says you can only apply for one child.
- Applying when you are entitled to the SU single-parent supplement; borger.dk says you then can't get this allowance.
- Posting the form too late for the quarter you want payment to start from.
After you fill it out
Sign and date page 2 and post the form with your documentation to Udbetaling Danmark, Kongens Vænge 8, 3400 Hillerød. FileIt doesn't send it for you.
Tell Udbetaling Danmark about changes, for example if you start or stop receiving the SU single-parent supplement, or interrupt your education or placement. borger.dk says the allowance is reviewed once a year against your actual income.
