What is IND 7612 self-employed income declaration?

Form 7612, the IND's Appendix Declaration on income of self-employed person, is used to decide whether a self-employed person has long-term, independent and sufficient means of support under the Aliens Act 2000. You need it when you apply for a residence permit or a short-stay visa and you, as the foreign national or the sponsor, earn your income as a self-employed person.

You give your personal details, your company's name, visiting address and Chamber of Commerce number, and the details of your administrator or accountant. Part 3 sets out the profits from business activities for the current financial year and the last two closed financial years, each divided by the number of months, with the corrections and taxable profit. You sign the declaration, and your administrator or accountant adds a signed compilation report under part 5.

FileIt prints everything into the IND's PDF, right-aligns the amounts in the euro boxes (a loss keeps its minus sign), works out the monthly figures from the period dates, and saves the form in your vault.

How to fill out IND 7612 self-employed income declaration, step by step

1 1. Self-employed person

Your details as in the passport, your home address, the company's name and visiting address and its Chamber of Commerce number.

2 2. Administrator / accountant

The accountant's name, professional title, BECON number from the Tax and Customs Administration, phone number and visiting address.

3 3. Income from business activities

For the current year: the period, the profit over it and the monthly figure. For the most recently closed and the next-to-last closed year: the financial year, the profit according to the financial statements, the monthly figure, corrections, taxable profit, and whether a tax assessment already imposed is based on that profit.

4 4. Signing by the self-employed person

Place, date and your signature, declaring that you earned this income from your own business.

5 5. Compilation report

The accountant repeats your name, company and KvK number, then gives the office name, place and date and signs the compilation report.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Sending the declaration without the accountant's signed compilation report.
  • Dividing the profit by 12 for a period that wasn't a full year.
  • Leaving out the enclosures: profit and loss accounts, tax returns and assessments.
  • Not explaining in a separate appendix why an assessment isn't based on the stated profits.

After you fill it out

Sign part 4, have your accountant sign the compilation report, and enclose the whole declaration with your application.

Add the financial documents the form lists under 3.9 and 3.16.

FileIt keeps the filled PDF in your vault for the next renewal.
