What is IND 7610 employer's declaration?

Form 7610, the IND's Appendix Employer's declaration, is how an employer confirms someone's employment for a residence application, for example when the income of the employee is the proof of sufficient means for a family member. The application form says when you need it and for whom. One copy is completed and signed for each employer.

The employer gives the employee's details, the company's name, Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number and visiting address, the position, the date of employment and the kind of contract (permanent, temporary, on-call or agency work with its ABU or NBBU phase), the contract period, any trial period, the weekly hours, the gross wage, the wage for social security purposes and the net wage per month or per 4 weeks, and the holiday allowance. The IND may check these details with UWV or the Tax and Customs Administration.

FileIt prints the answers in block letters into the boxes of the IND's PDF, right-aligns the amounts in their euro boxes, and works out the form's tricky 'up to' date for a temporary contract. The employer signs it and adds the company stamp on the printout.

How to fill out IND 7610 employer's declaration, step by step

1 1. Details of employee

V-number if known, name as in the passport, sex, date and place of birth, country of birth, nationality and home address.

2 2. Details of company/institution

The employer's name, Chamber of Commerce number (8 digits) and visiting address.

3 3.1-3.4 Employment details

Position, date of employment, the nature of the employment (with the kind of on-call contract or the agency phase) and whether the contract lets you stop paying wages when there is no work.

4 3.5-3.6 Period and trial period

Tick temporary or permanent and give the dates. For a temporary contract the 'up to' box takes the day after the last working day, as the form's own example shows; FileIt works it out from the last working day you give. Then any trial period.

5 3.7-3.12 Hours and pay

Hours by contract and actually worked, the three wage amounts per month or per 4 weeks in whole euros, and the holiday allowance percentage. 3.12 is only for the International Trade Regulation.

6 4. Signing by employer

Name, position and phone number of the signer, place and date. Sign and stamp the printout.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Giving the last working day in the 'up to' box instead of the day after.
  • Including the holiday allowance in the wage amounts.
  • Mixing a monthly amount with a 4-weekly one without ticking the right box.
  • Forgetting the company stamp next to the signature.
  • Using one declaration for two employers.

After you fill it out

Print, sign and stamp the declaration, and give it to the employee to enclose with the application.

Keep a copy with the payroll records in case the IND checks the figures.

FileIt saves the filled PDF in the vault, ready for a later renewal.
