What is PLACH direct debit mandate (MRA)?
The PLACH Direct Debit Mandate is the Mauritius Revenue Authority's form for paying the MRA by direct debit. By signing it you authorise the MRA to send instructions to your bank to debit your account, and your bank to debit the account in line with those instructions.
The form sets out your rights: you are entitled to a refund from your bank under the terms of your agreement with it, a refund must be claimed within 3 months from the date the account was debited, and you are eligible where the debit wasn't authorised, the amount differs from the invoice amount, or the same instruction was executed more than once. You give your name and address, your bank's name and address, the account number, the dates of the first and last recurrent payment, your NIC / NCID or Business Registration Number, and sign.
FileIt pre-fills your name from the People in your FileIt vault, keeps each answer within the form's 30-character boxes, prints the dates in the form's DD / MM / YYYY boxes, and puts everything into the MRA's own PDF. The finished mandate is saved in your vault, ready to sign and send.
