What is UDK 450 — Housing benefit: declare wealth (formue)?
Danish housing benefit (boligstøtte) depends partly on the wealth (formue) of everyone who lives in the home. The form's own guidance gives the 2026 limits: combined wealth above 896.400 kr. counts in the calculation, or above 1.060.300 kr. if you or someone else in the home is a state pensioner or an early-retirement pensioner from before 2003. Udbetaling Danmark therefore checks the figures, and each January it writes to recipients under the heading 'Bekræft formuen for at boligstøtten fortsætter' (confirm your wealth so your housing benefit continues).
UDK 450 is the paper answer. If the figures in the letter are right, you tick 'Jeg bekræfter formuen' and sign. If not, pages 2 and 3 have a grid with one column per person, up to four people, identified by CPR number. Section A covers property value, bank deposits, bonds, mortgage deeds, shares and debt. B covers loans from the municipality or Udbetaling Danmark, and C compensation and the value of a cooperative flat. D, other wealth such as cash, cars, boats, business equity and assets abroad, is only needed when the household's combined wealth is above 100.000 kr.
FileIt shows the grid one person at a time, in English with the Danish line names, and prints the amounts right-aligned in the kroner boxes of Udbetaling Danmark's own PDF. Names and remarks keep letters such as ø, ł or ș. You print the form, then you and every other adult in the home sign page 1 by hand before you post it.

Common mistakes to avoid
- Using the provisional property value (foreløbig ejendomsværdi) from Skattestyrelsen. The form asks for the latest final value.
- Leaving out someone who lives in the home. The form asks about everyone, children included.
- Forgetting the other adults' signatures. Everyone over 18 in the home must sign page 1.
- Filling in section D when the household's combined wealth is 100.000 kr. or less. It isn't needed then.
- Guessing the cooperative flat's value instead of using the share value approved at the last general meeting.
