What is G0180 — Antrag auf RV Fit?
RV Fit is the Deutsche Rentenversicherung's prevention programme (Präventionsleistung) for people who are in work and notice the first signs of a health problem — occasional back pain, a little too much weight, stress or poor sleep. The rv-fit.de site describes it as free of charge: the Rentenversicherung pays, and your employer releases you for the full-day phases with your pay continued.
The programme runs in phases: an intensive start (3 full days outpatient or 5 days inpatient), about 3 months of training once or twice a week outside working hours, 3 months of training on your own, and a refresher of 1 day outpatient or 3 days inpatient about half a year later. Form G0180 is the paper application. It asks for the facilities you would like for the start, training and refresher phases, if you know them, and your personal details. You can also ask for documents in large print, Braille or as audio.

Who needs to fill out G0180 — Antrag auf RV Fit?
- People in work with early health complaints such as occasional back pain, slight overweight, stress or sleep problems.
- rv-fit.de names the conditions: you are in active employment, not unemployed, and have been working for at least 6 months.
- Not for civil servants (Beamte), pensioners or unemployed people, rv-fit.de says. More serious health problems are a case for medical rehabilitation (G0100) instead.

- rv-fit.de's FAQ says a further prevention programme should be applied for at the earliest one year after the previous one ended.

Name and address of the facility for the start phase, the training phase and the refresher phase — as far as you know them.

Surname, first names, birth name and former names, date of birth, sex, place of birth, nationality, address and phone.

Optional: ask for documents in one accessible form — large print, Braille (contracted or uncontracted), a CD with a text file, or a DAISY audio CD.

Page 2 points to the data-protection information; there is nothing to fill in.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Applying while unemployed or already retired — RV Fit is for people in work.
- Choosing several accessible formats — the form asks for one.
- Leaving out former nationalities in the nationality box, which asks for them with the date they ended.
After you fill it out

Does RV Fit cost anything?
rv-fit.de calls it a free programme whose costs the Deutsche Rentenversicherung pays, with travel costs reimbursed.
Do I need time off work?
For the start and refresher phases, yes. rv-fit.de says your employer must release you and continue your pay, so you don't use holiday. The regular training takes place outside working hours.
Is there an online alternative?
Yes. The form itself points to the eAntrag at deutsche-rentenversicherung.de/eantrag-g0180, and rv-fit.de has its own sign-up. The paper form is still accepted.
Why is there no signature?
The G0180 has no signature or date line; page 2 only contains the data-protection notice.
Do I need a doctor's report?
The G0180 asks for none. If your health problems are more serious, the Rentenversicherung's medical rehabilitation (form G0100, with a doctor's report) may be the right route.
