What is HLTH 105?
HLTH 105, Medical Services Plan (MSP) Continued Enrolment in MSP for Ages 19 – 24, is the British Columbia Ministry of Health form that lets a child who turns 19 stay on their parent's or guardian's MSP account as a dependent post-secondary student. The current edition is HLTH 105 V 2, Rev. 2023/11/15.
The form defines a dependent post-secondary student as a BC resident who is older than 18 and younger than 25, single, attending a recognized post-secondary institution full time, and supported by a parent or someone standing in place of a parent. The student gives their details, Personal Health Number and school; the parent or guardian gives their MSP account details and consents; and both sign the declaration. The form also suggests making the change online through gov.bc.ca/managingyourmspaccount.
FileIt fills in HLTH 105 from a guided web form and prints your answers in capitals on Health Insurance BC's own PDF, including the comb boxes for the PHN, dates and phone numbers. The finished PDF is filed in your vault, and the student and parent can sign with FileIt eSignature or by hand. FileIt never sends anything to Health Insurance BC.
