What is Form I-765WS?
Form I-765WS, the Form I-765 Worksheet, is a one-page form from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). The form says you must complete it if you apply for employment authorization in category (c)(14), deferred action, or (c)(33), Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), so that USCIS can decide whether you have an economic need to work.
It asks for three figures, your current annual income, your current annual expenses and the total current value of your assets, plus an optional explanation of your financial situation. You only give your own finances: the form says you don't need to include other household members' information. Supporting evidence isn't required, but USCIS will review any documents you send.
FileIt asks the worksheet's questions in plain English and prints your answers on the official USCIS PDF, with accented names printed correctly. Your name comes from the People records in your vault, and the finished worksheet is saved to the person's folder, next to the Form I-765 it goes with. FileIt never files anything with USCIS.

Common mistakes to avoid
- Leaving the worksheet out of a (c)(33) DACA or (c)(14) work permit filing.
- Including other household members' income or assets when they aren't needed.
- Leaving an amount blank instead of entering 0.
- Using a name that doesn't match the Form I-765 it goes with.
After you fill it out
Print the worksheet and put it with your signed Form I-765 and the rest of your filing, as the USCIS Form I-765 page and instructions describe. FileIt does not submit it for you.
