What is SKV 7845 - Moving within Sweden?
SKV 7845 is the paper version of the Swedish flyttanmälan, the notice you give Skatteverket (the Swedish Tax Agency) when you move to a new address in Sweden. Your new address goes into the population register (folkbokföring), which banks, hospitals and public agencies use to reach you. Making the notice costs nothing.
Timing matters. Page 2 of the form says to notify before you move or no later than a week after. Then the new address applies from the day you moved in. If the notice comes later, the new address applies from the day it reached Skatteverket. Most people with Swedish e-identification use the e-service instead; this paper form is for people without one, or who prefer paper.
FileIt walks you through the form in English, with the Swedish wording beside each question. It fills in your name and email from your vault, checks every personal identity number, and prints your answers into Skatteverket's own PDF, which is saved in your vault. You sign it by hand and post it. FileIt never sends anything to Skatteverket.

Who needs to fill out SKV 7845 - Moving within Sweden?
- People moving house within Sweden who don't have Swedish e-identification for the online flyttanmälan.
- Families moving together to one new address. Up to six people fit on one form, children included.
- Lodgers and second-hand tenants registering at an address where someone else is the tenant or owner.
- People moving for a limited number of months who want that recorded with the new address.
When to use SKV 7845 - Moving within Sweden
- Before you move, or within a week of moving in, so the new address counts from your move-in date.
- Not if you're moving abroad. Use SKV 7665 (Moving Abroad Notification) instead.
- Not if you've signed up for Skatteverket's 'Spärra obehörig adressändring' service, which blocks unauthorised address changes. You must then use the e-service.
- When family members are moving to different addresses, fill in one form for each new address.
What you need before you start
- The 12-digit personal identity number (personnummer) and name of everyone who is moving.
- The new street address with number and letter, the postcode and the town.
- The four-digit apartment number (lägenhetsnummer) from your lease, the entrance or your mailbox.
- The name and phone number of your landlord, the property owner, or the person you lodge with.
- The property designation (fastighetsbeteckning), from your landlord or your purchase contract.
- Your move-in date, and how many months you'll stay if the address is only temporary.
- A phone number and email address for each person who signs.

How to fill out SKV 7845 - Moving within Sweden, step by step
1 Date of the notice
The 'Datum' box at the top of the form takes today's date. FileIt prints it as YYYY-MM-DD.
2 Personal identity numbers and names
List yourself and everyone moving with you to the same address, including children. Each number takes all 12 digits (YYYYMMDD-NNNN). If six rows aren't enough, use another form.
3 Home address after the move
Street address with number and letter, apartment number, postcode and town. Don't add c/o for a second-hand flat or a room you rent. Skatteverket doesn't register it, so put your name on the door and the mailbox instead. Then give the landlord, owner or the person you lodge with, and their phone number, plus the property designation.
4 Move-in date and how long
The date you move in (YYYY-MM-DD). Then say whether the new address applies until further notice (a tick in the box) or for a number of months, which goes in the 'Alternativt antal månader' box.
5 Signatures
There are four signature blocks. Everyone in the notice aged 18 or over signs. Custodial parents sign for a child under 16, and both sign if they share custody. A child of 16 or 17 can sign alone, or the parents can sign. Each person signs only once. FileIt prints each signer's name, phone and email, and you sign by hand above them.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Sending it more than a week after the move, so the new address only applies from the day Skatteverket receives the notice.
- Writing 'c/o' in the address, which Skatteverket won't register.
- Leaving out the apartment number. If your flat has none, write the number of floors and TR, or BV or NB.
- Only one parent signing for a child under 16 when both parents have custody.
- Using this form for a move abroad, or when your address is locked with 'Spärra obehörig adressändring'.
- Giving 10-digit personal identity numbers when the column asks for all 12 digits.
After you fill it out
Print the form. Each signer signs by hand in an 'Underskrift' box above their printed name.
Post it to Skatteverkets inläsningscentral, FE 2001, 839 86 Östersund, the address printed on the form. The new address is notified only once the signed form has reached Skatteverket. FileIt doesn't send it.
Skatteverket's info page says that if someone else is already registered at the address, they may get a letter asking whether you live there.
Keep the filled copy in your FileIt vault with your lease or purchase papers.

Is there an English version of SKV 7845?
No. Skatteverket publishes SKV 7845 in Swedish only. FileIt asks each question in English with the Swedish label beside it, and prints your answers into the Swedish form.
Do I have to use the paper form?
No. With Swedish e-identification you can use Skatteverket's online flyttanmälan instead. The paper form is for people without e-identification, or who prefer paper.
How soon after moving must I notify?
The form says no later than a week after the move. If you notify later, the new address applies from the day the notice reaches Skatteverket, not from your move-in date.
Who has to sign?
Everyone in the notice aged 18 or over. Custodial parents sign for a child under 16, and both sign if they share custody. A child of 16 or 17 can sign alone, or the parents can. Each person signs only once.
What if I don't know the property designation?
If you rent, your landlord can tell you. For a tenant-owned flat or a house, it's in the purchase contract (köpebrev).
Can I register a temporary address?
Yes. Instead of ticking 'tills vidare' (until further notice), give the number of months the new address will apply.
Does FileIt send the form to Skatteverket?
No. FileIt fills Skatteverket's official PDF and saves it in your vault. You print it, sign it and post it yourself.
