What is SKV 4620 - Business registration (F-tax, employer, VAT)?
When you start a business in Sweden, you register it with Skatteverket (the Swedish Tax Agency). You can apply for F-tax, which lets you invoice customers and pay your own preliminary tax, or FA-tax if you're a sole trader who is also employed. You can also register for VAT (moms) and as an employer. SKV 4620, Företagsregistrering, formerly called Skatte- och avgiftsanmälan, does all of this on two pages.
The form suggests the e-service Registrera företag on verksamt.se if you can use it. The paper form suits those without a Swedish e-ID or who prefer paper. It asks about the business and its activities (with SNI codes), the owners of a close company, the employer details, the VAT details, and an estimate of this year's income so Skatteverket can set your preliminary tax.
FileIt asks each question in English with the Swedish label beside it and only opens the parts you need. It checks identity and organisation numbers, adds up the activity shares and the owners' shares, and checks the VAT rules printed on the form. It then prints your answers into Skatteverket's own PDF, which is saved in your vault. You sign it by hand and post it. FileIt never sends it.

What is the difference between F-tax and FA-tax?
FA-tax is for sole traders who are also employed. Their employer deducts tax from the salary, and they pay F-tax on the business income. The form says FA-tax is only for sole traders.
Is SKV 4620 the same as Skatte- och avgiftsanmälan?
Yes. Skatteverket now calls it Företagsregistrering. It was formerly called Skatte- och avgiftsanmälan.
Is there an English version?
Not of SKV 4620. Foreign businesses use SKV 4632, which is in English and Swedish. FileIt asks each SKV 4620 question in English and prints your answers into the Swedish form.
What is an SNI code?
The Swedish Standard Industrial Classification code for each activity, five digits. The form points to www.sni2007.scb.se.
Do I have to fill in part G?
Part G is Skatteverket's basis for setting your preliminary tax when you apply for F-tax or FA-tax. Give your best estimate of this year's income.
Does FileIt send the application?
No. FileIt fills Skatteverket's PDF and saves it in your vault. You sign and post it yourself.
